Giant Bird Pics

There is a story that in April 1890, two cow-boys in Arizona killed a giant bird-like creature with an enormous wingspan. It was said to have had smooth skin, feather-less wings like a bat and a face that resembled an alligator. This description has obvious similarity to that of a strange prehistoric pterodactyl, a creature which was known at the time. They dragged the carcass back to town, and it was pinned, wings outstretched across the entire length of a barn. A picture of this event may have been published in the local news-paper, the Tombstone Epitaph. It should be noted that Cryptozoology.com has an account of this story with the events taking place in the state of Texas.

According to Mark Hall, the Epitaph did indeed print a story about the capture of a large, unusual winged giant bird creature, on April 26, 1890. Beyond this single story, ancak, no one has made historic corroboration that this event ever occurred; it is usually considered an urban legend. Utterly fictional tall tales were not an uncommon feature in newspapers during this era.

No one has ever produced a copy of the strangethunderbirdphotograph, though numerous people, Ivan T. Sanderson being one of the better known, have made claims to its existence. Sanderson claimed to have once owned a copy of the photo, which vanished after he loaned it to an acquaintance in the 1960s. The television program Freaky Links staged a similar photo, giving new life to theThunderbird Photographlegend.

Sara Evans Engaged

Sara Evans was the subject of a very public divorce last year, but now she’s found love again and is engaged to marry.

Former Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Jay Barker is the object of Sara’s affection, and the two plan to tie the knot, according to People.com, though no specific wedding date has been announced.

The couple are enjoying their engagement and look forward to their upcoming nuptials,”.

Sara, whose divorce from Craig Schelske was finalized in September, began dating Jay prior to Thanksgiving. She appeared during that holiday weekend on his morning sports talk show, “The Opening Drive,” on Birmingham radio station WJOX. She’s been a guest on the show several times, and Jay has tagged along on some of her tour dates.

Despite his ties to the University of Alabama, Sara’s been tabbed to support SEC rival LSU with an appearance as an opening act for Kid Rock at the Gridiron Bash April 4 in Baton Rouge. The stadium date is tied to the university’s spring football game.

I’ve been the pretty from some big city
I’ve been the hothouse rose.
I’ve heard the jangle, I’ve had the jangle
Had diamonds on my toes.
All that material stuff is dandelion fluff
I think that I’ve had enough sweet baby

I’ll be your little wildflower swayinin the summer breeze.
You be the sun on my shoulders won’t you dance with me, dance with me
We’ll make this tired world over spinninin a melody.
And when the morning comes baby we’ll kiss the sun
Just you and me.

Clouds for a pillow beneath a willow
A jigsaw puzzle sky.
We’ll drink the raindrops until the rain stops
The wind’ll blow us dry.
And when the sky falls dark we’ll catch a runaway star
Holdinon with our hearts sweet baby

CHORUS

I wanna feel us go out where the big dreams grow
Hey boy, you never know, life’s crazy

CHORUS

You walk in a room and all the girls talk
I guess you get used to most of them fallin
Down at you feet.
Cause you got the charm and the debonair down
So tall and dark like you just came out of
Some kind of fairy tale dream.
Oooh baby you’re something
Oooh but I’m

Not your Cinderella
You’re not the one in a million fella
The slipper ain’t gonna fit me
Give my regards to Mr Disney
I’m no Sleeping Beauty
One kiss alone won’t do it to me
Hate to be the one to tell ya
But I’m not your Cinderella.

I don’t know if I believe in love at first sight
I think it might need just a little more time
To grow and be real.
So keep up the laughter and the ramblinon
At the stroke of midnight I’m gonna be gone
This ain’t a heart you can steal.
Oooh baby you’re something
Oooh but I’m

J.T.Corenflos: Electric guitar

It’s another day after another night
Another sun I never thought I’d see rise
High heel hopes and whiskey lies
Feels like a freight train’s running right through my head
My little black dress smells like cigarettes
A napkin with no name just an address
Had me a good time I guess.

How am I gonna get my life together
As old as it’s getting it ain’t getting any better
I dunno where to start, I’ve fallen so far behind.
Momma says I’ve got to start acting like a lady
Daddy’s just worried about his baby.
How am I supposed to straighten up and fly right
When I don’t even remember what I did last night.

Shelly said she saw me hanging on an astronaut (not!)
Letting him lie through his teeth cause his smile was hot.
I’m sitting here sucking down second thoughts
And a little hair of the dogI know this has gotta stop

Somethinyou brush off when you’re through
It’s like you never even notice when I’ve been on you
Like I’m on the bottom of your boots.

It’s like I’ve been sittinon a discount shelf
Red tagged, marked down, last one left.
Like you’re savinall your money for somethinelse
Pickinme up off the discount shelf.

Well you can keep all your pennies
Keep ’em in your pocket don’t throw ’em at me
Cause my love ain’t dirt cheap.
I’m not a yard sale special on a dead end street
I’ll never be a buy one get one free
No my love ain’t dirt cheap
No my love ain’t dirt cheap.

I used to be a diamond in your eyes
Like a precious stone that’s hard to find.
On your darkest day you said I’d shine
A precious diamond in your eyes.

Now it’s like I’m at a pawn shop
Waitinfor you to trade somethinfor me
But my love ain’t dirt cheap
I’m not a yard sale special on a dead end street
I’ll never be a buy one get one free
No my love ain’t dirt cheap
No my love ain’t dirt cheap

I can’t keep on thinkin
One day you’ll believe I’m worth somethinmore
Than a candy in a dime store
No I can’t do that any more.

Russ Pahl: Pedal steel
Russell Terrell: Backing vocals

I’ve been watching you

I’ve been standing here
Standing here undone.
Gypsy soul you’ll never settle down.
Oh like water down a raging stream
Like an old time reel on a movie screen
You run You run

I been letting you
I been letting you go.
Something so out of control
I can’t tie down.
Someone so far gone
Ooh like ice cream on a sunny day
Like a little boy let out to play
You run You run

I’ve been driving
Driving in my car.
I’ve been watching the
Headlights and the stars.
I’ve been thinking ’bout the way it was
You run

Like water down a raging stream
Like an old time reel on a movie screen, yeh

Like ice cream on a sunny day
Like a little boy let out to play
You run You run.

He had a deep south tan and a pearl snap shirt with the sleeves rolled up
He was smilinat me, made it sound so sweet
When he saidGirl you wanna go for a ride?”

If only he were you
I’d be cominunglued
I’d be jumpinin that front seat
Puttinup my bare feet
there’s no tellinwhat i might do
If only he were you
If only he were you.

Later that night he pulled into my drive and walked to my door
And he rang that bell with a fist full of flowers like all the times before
But I kept all the lights low, watched out the window
Waiting till he drove away.

I ain’t got nothin‘gainst my hometown
There just ain’t enough room to breathe
Everybody is settlin’, settlin’down
That’s alright for them but that ain’t me.

I’m a rainbow, I’m a butterfly
I’m a feather whenever the wind blows by.
I’m a note in a bottle out on the deep blue sea
So if you want me to be your rock where you can lean
Oh that ain’t me.

I like thinkinabout things like stars
They see better than me from way up there.
Some people just wanna stay right where they are
That’s alright for some, yea but that ain’t me.

CHORUS

In this world there’s just two kinds of people
Some just dream and others chase them down

I’m a rainbow, I’m a butterfly
I’m a feather whenever the wind blows by
I’m a note in a bottle out on the deep blue sea
I’m gonna find out what makes the wild bird sing
So if you want me to be the rock where you can lean
Oh that ain’t me, no that ain’t me.

8. OVER THE RAINBOW LYRICS
Written by Harold Arlen, Yip Harburg

Tommy Emmanuel: Acoustic guitar

Somewhere over the rainbow way up high
There’a land that I heard of once in a lullaby.
Somewhere over the rainbow skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.

Someday I’ll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That’s where you’ll find me.

Somewhere over the rainbow bluebirds fly
Birds fly over the rainbow why I why can’t I?

If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow why oh can’t I?

Mike Brignardello: Bass
J.T.Corenflos: Electric guitar
Bryan Sutton: Acoustic guitar
Mike Rojas: Keyboards
Russ Pahl: Pedal steel

Lucky girl
She got the diamond but I got the world
It’s my oyster and it’s full of pearls
So honey tell me who’s the lucky girl
You lucky boy
Did you tell her she’s your second choice
Cause I wouldn’t be your little toy
Ain’t no man inside her lucky boy.

Guess you finally found someone who’s
Everything that I couldn’t be
Whoah oh oh oh oh oh oh
I just couldn’t see myself as
Mrs you can walk all over me
So tell me who’s the lucky
Tell me who’s the lucky girl

Lucky girl
She got the Gucci gown the veil and curls
I got your precious box set of Merle
So honey tell me who’s the lucky girl.

CHORUS

Lucky girl
She got the diamond but I got the world
It’s my oyster and it’s full of pearls
So honey tell me who’s the lucky girl.

10. YOU’RE THE ONE I LOVE LYRICS
Written by: Catherine Britt, Hillary Lindsey, Aimee Mayo, Chris Lindsey

I go to sleep in this bed every night
He’s lying next to me
Lord knows he treats me so right
He’s everything I’ll ever need.
He’s so good to me I can’t help feeling guilty
Everytime he touches me

Cos you’re the one I love
You’re the one I love.

I should be happy I should be content
I shouldn’t be so far gone.
I can’t stop thinking ’bout you
Even though I know it’s wrong.
I should do the right thing do the right thing
But a heart wants what it wants

You’re the one I love
You’re the one I love

If lies were fire this house would be burning down
If a river was desire I’d be drowning now.

Dan Dugmore: Pedal steel
Pat Bergeson: Acoustic guitar
Bryan Sutton: Acoustic guitar
J.T.Corenflos: Electric guitar
Mike Rojas: Piano
Jon Randall: Backing vocals

The phone broke the silence
Like the screaminof a siren
And I just sat beside it
Took another drag on my cigarette
Swore I’d never smoke again
And I watched it ring.

Well I knew that it was you
Callinjust to prove that
You were strong as you could be
And you could get along without me
Anytime
And anyway

So I just stare through the doorscreen
And I’d watch the cars come down the pike
Their lights against the sky
Like a drive-in movie
On a country road
That I’ve seen before
Never like the first time.

Blue lights on the dashboard
Songs on the radio
And how were you to ever know
How much I loved you so
You thought that I
Was only dreaming.

What a surprise it must have been
To realise I was one of them
Not a king but just a man
Not an angel hardly a friend
And not someone
You could believe in

And out across the rugged hills
The dust blows and the wind wails
Sunbleached skulls and empty shells
Broken men with tales to tell
And I would be
One of them.

And how were you to ever know
How far it was gonna go
You fall in love and that’s the road
You travel till you can’t no more
And then you just
Well you turn around again.

CHORUS

How’s my makeup cause here he comes
Whatever cool means I need me some
Well let’s dance with somebody let’s get real loud
Whatever he was I’m over him now
If love is a story, he’s a joke
I got the punch line just in time.

Well I’m bruised but I ain’t broke
I said I’m bruised but I ain’t broke

Who’s that with him, no I don’t care
But I hate the way she fixes her hair
Well that smile she’s wearing won’t last too long
He’ll have it in his pocket when he leaves at dawn
His crazy heart is a patch of bad road
Glad I made it through in one piece

Well I’m bruised but I ain’t broke
Yeah I’m bruised but I’m not broke (repeat)

Let’s pay the cheque cause i can’t watch
As he turns his Casanova up another notch
It’s like seeina hangman knottina rope
That i just got off my throat

Repeat CHORUS

HIDDEN TRACK. SWEET EMMYLOU LYRICS (Demo Version)
Written by: Catherine Britt, Rory Lee Feek

Rory Lee Feek: Acoustic guitar, backing vocals

Sweet Emmylou I blew the dust off you
You’re the only one who knows what I’m going through
It’s like the hickory windhe’s gone again
Sweet Emmylou

Sweet Emmylou as the needle runs through you
The way the pain shines through I know you’ve been there too
Those sad melodies oh how they comfort me
Sweet Emmylou

Well I hate to bother you again
Last time you helped my poor heart mend
Then he came along.
So I put your records all away
Thought happy songs was all I’d play
But I was wrong

Sweet Emmylou what are we gonna do
It’s only been a week or two and he’s got someone new
Lokks like it’s gonna be another night of you and me
Sweet Emmylou

CHORUS

How long can you swim before you drown
How long can you stay before you leave town
How long can you fly before you come crashing down

How far can you drive until you stall
How far can you climb until you fall
How far can you go before you lose it all

Sometimes I want to live a simple life
Lah lah lah lah lah lah lah
Sometimes I want to live a simple life
Lah lah lah lah lah lah lah

How many times can you get pushed too far
How many people really know who you are
How many times can you keep being told that you’re wrong

CHORUS to fade

Digg Some Hearts

Carrie Underwood
There is the whirlwind, and then there is the young woman at its center. The key to Carrie Underwood may lie in knowing that, three years down the road, the two remain separate. For all the awards, the record sales, the chart-topping hits, the non-stop schedule and the incessant media attention, Carrie remains firmly in touch with the shy Oklahoma college student she was before becoming a star. Through all of it, she retains a genuine likeability that, coupled with her enormous talent, goes a long way toward explaining the phenomenal nature of her success.

And it is indeed phenomenal, even when measured by the achievements of others who have found success as she did, via American Idol. The show’s co-creator and acerbic judge Simon Cowell had predicted during the competition that she would win and that she would outsell all of Idol’s previous winners. He was right on both counts. Carrie’s debut album, Some Hearts, is the biggest-selling American Idol album to date, selling more than 6 million records in the U.S. alone. Her debut CD, Some Hearts, released in 2005, has been the best-selling female country album of 2005, 2006 and 2007. Carrie hit #1 with every single she has released to date, and has won two Grammys as well as a host of trophies from the AMA, ACM, CMA, People’s Choice and Billboard, among many others.
